Cherry Quarts チェリー クォーツ

I've always had a thing for crystals, gems and such - so when I saw this Totoro package containing a random crystal I got really excited and had to get one! The package was just too cute! I got the "Cherry Quartz" that I hadn't heard about before, probably because it's not considered a real crystal but reading about it, it is said to have healing prosperities which is generally quite good indeed. Maybe it will help me with getting my body under control again. Moving here, I've been having all sorts of problems, mainly with my skin. I mean, the food here is great, but I'm guessing the problem might be the water or the air, because hello pimples!

Even so I just simply love it here in Tokyo. It's hard to explain but you know you're in the right place when you feel happy in every moment, no matter what it might be. For instance, I talked about my mum in Japanese with the staff at The Body Shop today (seeing as my mum works for The Body Shop in Sweden) and the lady whom I spoke to got really happy saying she would love to visit Sweden some day. Oh the happiness!

Today me and Helena also got pulled aside by a cute Japanese girl in Shibuya who asked us if we wanted to be models for a school project of hers. Apparently she goes to a hair and makeup school in Shibuya and wanted us to do some modelling for her, and I told her Helena would be happy to do it, haha. We gave her Helena's email so I guess we'll see what happens!

Neko Café

The day before yesterday we went on and did a little exploration in Shinjuku, and to our pleasant surprise we stumbled across a sweet little Cat Café along the streets. We had been talking about visiting one so we went up to the 6th floor right away and made an appointment. 40 minutes of shopping later we found ourselves petting and feeding cute cats while enjoying some tea. Seeing as it was a Saturday the prices were quite expensive. We paid 1200 Yen each for 60 minutes without drinks included, but it was worth it I would say. I'm not sure I would recommend this place, but I do recommend going to a Cat Café while you are in Japan simply because of the very strange (and cute) experience. A great thanks to Helena for taking pictures and allowing me to use them!

Early Christmas at Ikea

Last week me and Linnea went to Ikea in Tachikawa near Tokyo (about 40 minutes away from our school) to buy some necessary stuff we haven't really been able to find elsewhere (for a decent price at least). What better place to go when in need than to the all so familiar Ikea? We were surprised to find that Christmas had already arrived here! A little too early I would say as Halloween is just around the corner, but it was extremely cosy nonetheless. Now we know where to go when we want to celebrate a true Swedish Christmas, with Julmust, Pepparkakor and Lussebullar. It was quite strange to suddenly find a part of Sweden here in Japan. It did really feel like home here though, a perfect mix of cultures so to speak.

To our pleasant surprise they even had some Swedish candy! Although Japanese style, because some had shrimp flavor....

A afternoon in Harajuku

Harajuku. Finally we spent some time in Harajuku! I just absolutely love this place! It's way calmer than I thought and even calmer than Shibuya! At least that's how it was today. Also they have literary everything - and most of it is completely in my taste! I could hardly walk five meters without wanting to look at, or buy, something. This is bad for me... Well, thankfully I'm going to live here for a year so there's plenty of time and no rush to go shopping. Just looking is fine- Even though I did get a pair of shoes on sale for 1,000 yen (=7,36 Euro). After some time exploring Harajuku we stopped to get some of the most delicious crêpes I've ever had. So tasty! I got the one with Banana, Chocolate and Whipped Cream. Overall a very satisfying afternoon! ♥

These "swan" tops really spoke to me. I wonder whyyy- (haha)
