Running around town

 Shibaura

Last week while I was having a really bad cold and pretty much couldn't do anything else but rest I decided to go for some fresh air and explored the other part of the area where I live, that I yet hadn't been to. Not much to be seen despite beautiful buildings and some small shops.

 IKEA

After I recovered from my cold we decided on going to Ikea again to buy some more necessary stuff. It was really cosy to stay there for dinner this time around, having the famous "Swedish meatballs". We're going back again later in December, because outside of Ikea they are currently selling real Christmas trees for 1,990 yen. That's the only place here in Tokyo I believe you can actually buy a real one, instead of a plastic one.

Shopping in Harajuku Omotesando

Visiting, probably, my favourite place of Tokyo - Harajuku - We decided to walk a bit further this day and we found the rest of Harajuku, which we hadn't seen before. When you walk out of the Harajuku station, take right and walk for a couple of minutes and you'll arrive at a huge street with big beautiful trees. I'd say this street is probably a little too expensive for ordinary Christmas shopping, as there was mostly expensive brands everywhere. I did even find my favorite brand, Vivienne Westwood, but we didn't have time to go in there that day since we had an appointment at the Apple store. If you look close though, you can spot the Vivienne Westwood shop in the forth picture down below. We did however visit Kiddyland that had LOTS of amazing stuff! Disney, Studio Ghibli, Hello Kitty and so on.. And the best part for me was the Rilakkuma store on the top floor. I didn't buy much though seeing as I spent most of my money at the Apple store when I fetched myself an 68GB Silver iPhone 6. Here in Tokyo you have to fight for one every night at 12:00 at the Apple website, so they're very hard to get a hold of. When I actually got one after trying pretty much every night for weeks I got so happy I just couldn't stop myself from buying it at the store the next day.

Around Christmas here in Harajuku (Omotesando) they apparently do a lot of Christmas decorations,
such as lights in the trees etc, which I really look forward too! Can't wait to take pictures of that with my new awesome phone! Currently can't do anything with it though since I'm waiting for my new sim-card to arrive. Would anyone want me to do a post on how to get a sim-card here in Tokyo?

 Drinks and karaoke in Shibuya

This weekend it was finally time for karaoke and we decided Shibuya was the place to go! 3800 yen per person for 5 hours and "all you can drink" free drinks. Things got a little bit crazy but it was great to sing in a real karaoke place for the first time!
